EMDR helps the brain process memories, sensations, and beliefs that didn’t fully resolve during overwhelming moments. Instead of talking in circles, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (eye movements, sound, or gentle tapping) to help your system settle and update old patterns.
EMDR supports your brain in: • reducing the emotional charge of old experiences • calming automatic reactions • updating outdated beliefs • creating space for new responses • reconnecting you with a sense of safety
EMDR can support you if you’re navigating: • anxiety, irritability, or emotional swings • shutdown, freeze, or overwhelm • trauma or memories that still feel “charged” • perfectionism or over-responsibility • stress from work, caregiving, or relationships • patterns you understand but can’t seem to change • nervous system overload or chronic tension.
I blend EMDR with sound‑informed regulation, somatic work, and practical skills you can use between sessions. Sessions are calm, collaborative, and paced to your rhythm.
My EMDR work is rhythmic, somatic, and regulation‑first. We don’t rush into trauma. We build safety, rhythm, and capacity first. Using ARC, somatic tracking, breath, and steady pacing, we process at the speed your nervous system can actually hold. It’s EMDR that honors your rhythm — never overwhelming, never forced, always grounded in your body’s wisdom.
Sessions move at a steady, grounded pace. We start by helping your body settle — using breath, rhythm, and gentle somatic cues so your system feels anchored before we go anywhere near processing.
As we work, we track what’s happening in your body: shifts in breath, tension, warmth, movement, or emotion. You’re not pushed to “go faster” or “go deeper.” We follow your rhythm, your capacity, and your nervous system’s timing.
Processing happens in small, manageable pieces. You stay connected, present, and in control. If your system needs to pause, slow down, or take a break, we do. If something feels too big, we contain it together.
Most clients describe sessions as steady, spacious, and surprisingly gentle — a place where things finally start to move without overwhelm.
